DEVELOPING STRATEGIES FOR REFLECTIVE TEACHING PRACTICES AMONG SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN KERALA By  Dr. NS Sumamol

Abstract

The reflective teacher is dedicated and committed to teaching all students. Teaching involves moral and responsible action. Teachers make moral choice when they make voluntary decisions to have students attain one educational objective instead of another. As a reflective teacher you are aware of your actions and their consequences. As a teacher would you be willing to reevaluate what and how you teach about holidays if some of the students in your class hold a different point of view about them would you modify you teaching to take into account their views and belief ? Being a reflective teacher means that you keep an open mind about the content, methods and procedures used in your classroom. The Investigator attempted to compare the effectiveness of two teaching strategies (MM and present method) by analyzing the pre-test and post –test of two groups of students in the Social science from standard IX .
