Creativity involves a special way of thinking which we refer to as creative thinking. Creativity in general terms is basically associated with originality.
Creativity (or creativeness) is a mental process involving the generation of new ideas or concepts, new associations between existing ideas or concepts.
The etymological roots of the word in English and most other European languages comes from the Latin word ‘creatus’, literally “to have grown”.
Creativity has been attributed to divine intervention; cognitive processes the social environment, personality traits and chance (accident, serendipity) it has been associated with genius, mental illness and humour. According to some it is a trait we are born with, the others feel it can be taught with the application of simple techniques.
