Malayalam UG stage is a period of rapid and transformative physical, psychological, emotional, socio-cultural and cognitive development. The youth brain may have rewired, with resulting maturation of cognitive abilities in later adolescence. When these new cognitive abilities are combined with life experiences, development of social judgment and social responsibility become more central. Most significant task of a Malayalam UG student is the establishment of a stable sense of identity and the development of autonomy. A vibrant youth with a definite value is ready to live and die for that noble cause and that makes the age significant (Lynn, 2005).
Bhagat Singh, the legendary freedom fighter in one of his messages told that “no country is perfect, the youth is to make it perfect”, he was addressing a freedom struggle youth convention. Malayalam UG students are at the beginning of a new stage in life. An effective management of youth hood energy, innovative thoughts and actions towards green economy and Eco Pedagogy will definitely help them to grow as the eco-friendly citizens of the nation.
