Abstract

Education is one of the factor.’ affecting the physical and mental growth of an individual. Today education is seen as a series of teaching, thinking, learning experiences, which serves to change students’ behaviour in a specified desired manner. Educational objectives are no longer limited to the three R’s- Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. The educational structure in any country starts with primary and then secondary. These levels Teacher- especially Mathematics teacher have a pivotal role to play to reach the level of the pupil and he has to fit/fill different needs. Many factors related to the needs of the mathematics teacher” and their assessment in teaching. Hence, this study attempts to know the relationship total needs of the mathematics teacher and their professional development while teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
