ATTITUDE OF COLLEGE STUDENTS TOWARDS OPEN AND DISTANCE EDUCATION By  Suman Kumari and Dr. Vishal Sood

Abstract

The main aim of the present investigation was to study the attitude of college students towards open and distance education. For conducting this study, a sample of 300 college students was selected by adopting incidental sampling technique. Data were collected from college students with the help of Scale for Attitude towards Open and Distance Education by Dr. Vishal Sood (2012). Means, S.D. and t-test were used for analysis of data. The findings of the study revealed that that the college students possessed moderate attitude towards open and distance education. It is also concluded that the female college students had more positive attitude as compared to male college students and commerce stream college students possessed better attitude towards open and distance education as compared to arts stream students followed by science stream students. But none of the mean differences were found to be statically significant. In the end of the paper, implications of the study have been discussed. Keyword: Attitude, Open and distance education.
