A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON TRIBAL WELFARE RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS OF RAYALASEEMA REGION OF ANDHRA PRADESH By  Dr. K. Sekhar Reddy

Abstract

Andhra Pradesh become a pioneer in establishing residential schools for the Scheduled Tribes and kept in with the National Educational Policy of Government of India. The study aimed at role of Andhra Pradesh in establishing Tribal Welfare residential schools in Rayalaseema region in development of education of tribals. In the light of the objective of the study the researcher collect the data from four districts of Rayalaseema region by using the stratified random sampling technique. The study hypothesized therein significant Gender, Class, Medium, Locality and District difference. The Mean, S.D.’s and ANOVA are the statistical techniques applied for the analyzing the study. The results was presented and discussed according to the hypothesis formulated. Keywords: Tribal education, Residential schools, Rayalaseema region.
