The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. A sample consists of 174 teachers from Government secondary schools were systematic random sampling has been used for the purpose of sampling selected. Psycho-metrically sound instruments to evaluate the Job Satisfaction Scale (Spector, 1985); The Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (Mowday, et.al. 1982) was used in the present study. Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient and multiple regression analyses were used to analyze the data. The results of this study showed that there is a significant positive relationship with job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The study strategies and findings are discussed in this paper.
