In today’s world, a culture of peace is seen as the essence of new humanity, a new global civilization based on inner oneness and outer diversity. The flourishing of a culture of Peace can change our mindset in a way that is a prerequisite for the transition or move from conduct of violence to dialogue and Peace. Culture of peace can provide the bedrock of support to a Stable, Progressing and Prospering world for all.

Peace is not simply a lack of war or nonviolence, Peace means the eradication of all facts of injustice (Chang and Kurtz, 1998). There is a need to have a comprehensive view of Peace if we are to move toward Peace culture. Johan Galtung, (1975) a Peace theorist and researcher argues that structural violence occurs when the wealth of affluent nations, groups or individual is based on labour and essential resources drawn from nation, group and individual who as a consequence, diminished lives of deprivation. He further explained that Peace is absence of violence, not only personal or direct but also structural or indirect. The manifestations of structural violence are highly a distribution of wealth and resources as well as distribution of powers to decide over the distribution of said resources. Therefore, Peace is both the absence of personal/direct violence and presence of social justice. Peace can be classified in various ways:
